Leatherman went back to basics with Leatherman's Skeletool CX Multitool. Today’s outdoor enthusiasts prefer to keep volume and weight to a minimum without sacrificingfunctionality and quality - and that is what the Leatherman Skeletool is all about. Many multitools have multiple options, but they’re often heavier and loaded with features than most people actually almost never need. Leatherman 830850 Skeletool CX Multitool has a large knife blade that can be accessed while the tool is closed; you can easily open it by placing your thumb in the thumbhole at the base of the blade and rotate it out until it's fully extended.

Equipped with a universal bit driver, the Skeletool offers real utility options like no other multitool. To change the tool bits, simply unfold the tool and remove the bit from the bit driver and pop it out. Replacing bits is easy. Just press a new one into position and you're done. There's even a spare bit located in the handle side opposite the knife blade. Leatherman 830850 includes the following bits: screwdriver 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch, Phillips #1 and #2, .

There's a hard-wire cutter and a regular wire cutter in the plier jaws. The hard-wire cutter is excellent for heavier jobs like bending fishhooks and cutting, while the regular is great for lighter jobs and softer grades of wire.
